The England man is fit, but it is unlikely Wenger will risk him…
Following a poor performance midweek against Borussia Dortmund, Kieran Gibbs could make way for Spanish international left-back Nacho Monreal. He should line up alongside the three stalwart members of the back four, Per Mertesacker, Laurent Koscielny and Bacary Sagna.
Mathieu Flamini is available after suffering concussion last weekend, while Jack Wilshere has also been declared fit following an ankle problem picked up in the Champions League. The England midfielder will likely start from the bench though, with fit again Santi Cazorla starting alongside £42m record signing Mest Ozil in the attacking midfield postitions.
Mikel Arteta will partner Flamini in the middle, providing a platform for Aaron Ramsey to get forward and help his attacking teammates.
Olivier Giroud bagged midweek, and will definitely start up front in a lone striker’s role.
