Chelsea set to battle Monaco for Spanish ‘keeper
Chelsea have been linked with a shock move for goalkeeper Diego Lopez from Real Madrid in the Spanish press this morning, with Marca suggesting that the ‘keeper is set to leave the club as Iker Casillas is restored as number one.
With Real set to complete the signing of Keylor Navas from Levante, this would leave no room for Lopez, who was a favourite of Mourinho during his time at the Bernabeu.
Signing Lopez would almost certainly mean that Petr Cech would leave Stamford Bridge, however, with the long serving Chelsea number one already having slipped below Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order.
