Mourinho weighing up Cavani bid
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is considering making a move for striker Edinson Cavani from Paris Saint Germain, having reportedly been quoted a price of £40m for the Uruguayan.
However, the Blues are conscious of both financial fair play restrictions, despite having sold David Luiz, Demba Ba and Romelu Lukaku for significant fees this summer, and also Champions League homegrown player quotas, which would dictate that Chelsea must let one overseas player leave before bringing in Cavani.
The player is reportedly unsettled at the Parc des Princes, however, having regularly been shifted out of position to accommodate Zlatan Ibrahimovic last season and may be tempted by the move if it became a genuine option.
