Torres talks up Fabregas’ Chelsea move
Chelsea striker Fernando Torres believes Cesc Fabregas can be a leader for the Blues should he link up with the club this summer.
The Blues forward is currently away on national duty in Brazil for the World Cup, however, given the massive amount of speculation concerning his Spanish teammate moving to Chelsea, Movistar caught up with him and quizzed him about his thoughts on the transfer.
According to a report in Marca, Torres told Movistar that he believes that Fabregas to be a fantastic player and has shown his credentials during his time in England with Arsenal.
The Spanish striker also took a dig at the present Chelsea squad by stating that the English outfit lacked a leader on the pitch and Fabregas would provide that to Jose Mourinho.
Even though Torres has given the green light to Mourinho for signing Fabregas, it is going to be an extremely difficult transfer to pull off.
With Manchester City already preparing a bid of £30m for the popular playmaker along with interest from Manchester United as well as former employers Arsenal, Mourinho has his work cut out in persuading Fabregas to ply his trade in West London.
