Correa has had a fine season for Estudiantes in Argentine domestic football, attracing the attention of Paris Saint Germain, Benfica and AS Monaco in addition to the Premier League clubs – but it is they who look best placed to secure the signing of the 20 year-old.
The report suggests that City are set to conclude an £8 million deal for Correa and will loan him to high flying Serie A outfit Sampdoria to become acclimatised to European football before he arrives at the Etihad Stadium.
