Blow for Premier League clubs as full-back set to renew.
Barcelona right-back Dani Alves looks set to make the shock decision to sign a new contract and stay at the Nou Camp, according to the Metro.
Having recently declared that he would be playing his final season with the Catalan giants and preparing to move to the Premier League, the Brazilian international now seems ready to extend his deal until 2016.
This will come as some blow to Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United after they had emerged as the leading contenders to sign him on a free next season.
Still, Alves’ fine form this season has won over manager Luis Enrique, who had looked like replacing him with Fiorentina star Juan Cuadrado during the summer.
