Juventus leading-scorer Carlos Tevez has remained quiet on his future with Serie A to the annoyance of the club, so team management has told him to make a decision this week.
According to the Express, Juventus director Beppe Marotta has stated publicly that he wants his Argentinian superstar to make a decision by Friday.
“As for Tevez, we will respect his decision (to look into other clubs),” Marotta said. “…but we want an answer by the end of the week. We think that is only fair for everyone.”
One of the highest scoring strikers in Serie A, Tevez won an Olympic Gold medal for Argentina at the 2004 games in Athens, which jumpstarted a wildly successful career with Corinthians, Man United and Man City before leading him to Juventus, where he has scored 39 goals in his first 66 games with the club.
The Reds have been seen as the top contender for Tevez’s services with Chelsea not far behind. Oddly, the price-tag for the scoring sensation recently dropped all the way to £10 million according to recent reports.
Tevez reportedly was not planning to make a decision on his future with Juventus until after the Copa America.
