Blues boss hints that Lukaku is not ready for Chelsea.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho says he does not regret sending Romelu Lukaku on loan to Everton.
Lukaku, 20, joined the Toffees on a season-long loan deal in August, despite impressing for the Blues during pre-season.
The Belgium international scored 17 Premier League goals whilst on loan at West Brom last term and is was widely expected that Mourinho would keep the young striker as part of his Blues squad.
The former Anderlecht star has already netted three goals in just two appaerances for Everton, while Chelsea’s three strikers – Fernando Torres, Demba Ba and Samuel Eto’o – are yet to score a league goal between them this season.
But Mourinho hinted that the youngster was still not ready to play for the Stamford Bridge outfit.
When asked if he regretted loaning out Lukaku, the Portuguese replied: “No. It is one thing to play for Everton and another to play for Chelsea.”
