Premier League trio Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are all interested in signing Everton and England youngster John Stones, with the centre back in high demand after his breakthrough season at Goodison Park, according to reports from the Metro.
The former Barnsley youngster put in a number of fine performances for Everton last season after being given the opportunity by Roberto Martinez to break into the first team at Goodison Park.
Chelsea and Arsenal are both believed to be on the hunt for a centre back, but with both clubs having established central defensive partnerships it is unclear whether Stones would be willing to move to a club as ‘one for the future’.
Stones is also capable of doing a consistent job at right back, but he is most at home in the centre and it seems as though that position is where Stones sees his future lying.
The Gunners are likely to be hunting a replacement for Belgian Thomas Vermaelen, who is set to join either Napoli or Manchester United, whilst Chelsea have already sold David Luiz to Paris Saint Germain for a huge fee.
Tottenham, meanwhile, could be set to lose talismanic defender Jan Vertonghen to Barcelona, potentially opening the door for a swoop for Stones.
