The Michigan State Spartans will take on the Maryland Terrapins as they hope to get back into the race for a Big Ten championship.
No. 12 Michigan State had their national title hopes dashed by No. 8 Ohio State as they lost, 49-37, at home. They may have had their Big Ten title hopes taken away as well.
The Spartans received a stellar performance from running back Jeremy Langford, who rushed for 137 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries.
Quarterback Connor Cook threw for 358 yards and two touchdowns on 25-of-45 passing.
The Spartans will look to redeem themselves and climb back into the Big Ten title race with a win against Maryland, who is coming off a 20-19 win against Penn State and holding a 6-3 record.
The Terrapins won the game with a last-minute field goal by Brad Craddock, who nailed it from 43 yards out.
Quarterback C.J. Brown was efficient as he threw for 161 yards and a touchdown on 18-of-38 passing. He will face a major challenge without suspended wide receiver Stefon Diggs though.
The Spartans will be angry about their loss to the Buckeyes, so they will take it out on the Terrapins.
