Former Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow has been out of the NFL for two full seasons since spending the 2012 season on the bench with the New York Jets and being cut by the New England Patriots after their 2013 preseason.
Randall Cobb resigns – Green Bay Packers re-sign wide receiver to four-year, $40 million contract
Mark Ingram resigns – New Orleans Saints re-sign running back to four-year, $16 million deal
Dannell Ellerbe released – Miami Dolphins linebacker released after injury-filled 2014 season
However, he may not be out as he is reportedly planning to try out at the NFL Veteran Combine, which is scheduled to take place on March 22.
The 27-year-old experienced a brief flash of glory in 2011 with the Broncos when they went 7-4 and won a playoff game after anointing him as the starter midseason.
However, his excessive media coverage and inability to consistently make the necessary throws have made it difficult for him to find work in the NFL.
Tebow has worked with Tom Brady’s quarterback tutor though for the past couple of years to improve his mechanics.
Sporting News reported on Tebow’s apparent desire to return to the NFL on Twitter.
