Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has said that Chelsea are making it problematic for them to sign Thibaut Courtois permanently…
Thibaut Courtois’ future is still hanging in the balance. Reports in The Daily Express have revealed Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo aiming his guns at Chelsea for getting in the way of the Belgian’s transfer to the Vicente Calderon.
Courtois is believed to be uninterested in playing second fiddle to Petr Cech at Stamford Bridge, or biding his time on loan at any other club anymore. Even Los Rojiblancos have expressed a wish to sign the highly rated goalkeeper on a permanent basis. However, the Blues boss Jose Mourinho has not yet made a final decision on the future of the two players.
Some football pundits meanwhile, are of the view that the Portuguese may consider letting go of fan-favourite Cech in the near future, especially going by his recent ‘trend’ of selling even the most highly rated players. Courtois however, would want that time to come soon, failing which he may try to push for a move away from west London.
