Arsenal are said to be waiting on Petr Cech to make a decision regarding his future before making a move to whisk him away from Stamford Bridge this summer, according to the Daily Mail.
The Czech international is expected to leave the west London side at the end of the season after falling behind Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order, but the Blues will apparently only allow him to leave for at least £10m.
Considering the two clubs – and more importantly, the two managers – are great rivals, the deal is not expected to be an easy one to complete.
And now the Gunners want to be certain that they stand a realistic chance of signing the 32-year-old before launching an official enquiry, as they feel Chelsea will not be eager to sell to a direct rival.
Cech revealed that he does not want to spend another season on the bench at Chelsea, but Arsenal will have to wait until h holds talks with their hierarchy to point out which direction he wants to go in next.
