Schalke’s Draxler is ready to make the switch away from Germany.
There is further good news for Arsenal in their pursuit of Schalke 04 starlet Julian Draxler as the German could be ready to leave in the January transfer window.
Former footballer and respected Bundesliga journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft reveals that the 20-year-old has a £37.5m release clause and that whilst Schalke are desperate to hold onto the attacking midfielder, the player wants to leave.
Re:Draxler – has a BuyOutClause every summer -I’ve been told he can go NOW if a club offers MORE than clause (not confirmed) IS HE OFF NOW?

Re: Draxler. Didn’t think that he could be bought this window. Schalke will battle to keep him, but if they have to…. #PlayersPower

Draxler has enjoyed a rapid rise to fame in Germany, breaking into the first team at Schalke in January 2011 after progressing from their youth academy.
Since then the winger has played 133 matches in all competitions – including the Champions League – and has scored 26 goals and provided 25 assists.
Draxler also has 10 caps for the German national team and is almost certain to be in Joachim Loew’s 23-man squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The Gunners have been tracking the youngster for some time and reports suggested that the player had even toured the north London club’s training facilities ahead of a move.
Draxler has also previously admitted that a switch to the Emirates Stadium would be an attractive prospect.
