Arsenal are keen on adding another proven keeper when Lukasz Fabianski’s contract expires in the summer, and have added Everton stopper Tim Howard to the shortlist, reports Football Direct News.
Howard has excelled for Everton this term, aiding their top four push, but current Arsenal keeper Wojciech Szczesny has not really let his side down either.
According to the report though, if Arsenal qualify for the Champions League ahead of their Premier League rivals, they will try and lure the 35-year-old American international to the Emirates to compete with Szczesny for the starting role.
However, if the Toffees clinch fourth spot, Arsenal know they will have to turn their attentions elsewhere.
it’s unlikely Everton would want to part with their ageing keeper at all, although because of his advancing years, they’re similarly unlikely to turn down any fairly decent offers.
