Injured star believes that the Gunners are conceding too many goals.
Injured Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil believes that the club’s porous defence is costing them this season, with the German international and club record signing telling the Arsenal official website that soft goals conceded have cost the Gunners during their frustrating campaign to date.

Ozil certainly appears to have a point, with the German having watched from the sidelines through injury as his side have thrown away games both in the Premier League and Champions League with some naive and slapstick defending, notably in a recent defeat at Stoke City.
The Gunners have won five out of six games around that defeat at the Britannia Stadium, however, and Ozil also indicated that he believes the club could still be in for a good season if they can find some consistency:
“When you watch the games, we’ve dominated a lot of them but have conceded unnecessary goals.”
“That can’t happen, because in the Premier League, every team is capable of beating one another. We have to get our points by playing the game our way. I’m convinced that we will finish the season near the top of the table.”
