Tomas Rosicky is hungrier than ever to make this year, Arsenal’s year…
Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky has revealed that he is desperate to end his eight year wait for a Premier League title with the Gunners, according to the club’s official website.
“It’s very simple, my target is a trophy – I want to win the league,” said the Czech Republic international, who has 91 caps for his country.
“This is my eighth year here and that’s what I came here for, so now it’s time to achieve it.”
Rosicky has struggled with injuries during his tenure at Arsenal, and only made ten appearances in the league last season. When he is fit and on form however, the diminutive midfielder’s creativity and technical ability would be an asset for any side in England.
The 32-year-old knows that due to the strength of teams around them, and his advancing years, it will be difficult for him to win a first title in England – but he has not given up hope yet.
“Obviously it’s a very tough competition, there’s no doubt about that, and there are some great teams in the English league. But I don’t really care what everybody else says, I will do my best to achieve it.
“I will work hard every day in training and in the games to fulfil my dream. I have never felt hungrier in my career for success as I do now.”
Rosicky won multiple titles in the Czech Republic and Germany, but has yet to do the same with Arsenal. The talented midfielder will hope to stay injury-free this season, in order to start games along side Santi Cazorla and Jack Wilshere and create chances for a potentially new forward line, that could include Luis Suarez.
