Gunners hope to lure Catalan forward to the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal are in talks with Barcelona over the signing of young forward Cristian Tello.
Boss Arsene Wenger has reportedly been tracking the versatile 21-year-old for the past 18 months and is closing in on a £9m deal to sign the left winger.
Tello has excelled for Barca when he has featured this season, bagging 6 goals in just 14 La Liga starts this season,
But the winger has failed to hold down a regular first team spot under Tito Vilanova and has made just 26 appearances in all competitions this season faced with competition with the likes of Alexis Sanchez, David Villa and Pedro for a spot alongside Lionel Messi.
Any deal for Tello could reportedly involve the youngster first spending a season on loan at the Emirates Stadium, giving the Gunners first-refusal on Tello in the summer of 2014.
Arsenal have also been linked with a move for Villa, who reportedly has his heart set on a move to the Premier League this summer.
