Significant progress made in ambitious Arsenal deal.
Arsenal look to have come a step closer to signing Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech this January after holding talks over his transfer, according to the Daily Star.
The Czech Republic shot-stopper has been out of favour at Stamford Bridge this season after the rise of promising young keeper Thibaut Courtois, who impressed in a three-year loan stint with Atletico Madrid.
Still, Cech remains a world class talent and wants to be playing regularly, with Chelsea also seemingly open to letting him move to a rival club for a fee in the region of just £7m.
Arsenal supposedly already have a deal in place to push this move through in the new year, in what should prove a superb signing by the Gunners.
