Chelsea made the perfect start to their 2014-15 season with a 5-0 victory over Wycombe Wanderers in their opening pre-season encounter.
Patrick Bamford and Isaiah Brown (2) scored for a youthful looking Blues, although experienced duo John Terry and Branislav Ivanovic later converted Jeremie Boga set pieces to complete a comfortable win.
The match was played to mark Matt Bloomfield’s testimonial at Adams Park. 30-year-old midfielder Bloomfield, who has been with the club since 2003, was part of the proud Wycombe side that reached the League Cup semi finals in 2006, where they lost 5–1 on aggregate to Chelsea.
