Centre-back opted to yea for Rome instead of London.
Highly-rated Roma centre-back Kostas Manolas has revealed that he rejected the chance to join Arsenal this summer in favour of a move to the Italian capital instead, the Daily Express reports.
The Greece international was destined for a high-profile move from Olympiakos during the summer after impressing at the World Cup finals.
Reports both in the UK and in mainland Europe had the Gunners as frontrunners for the young defender, and some even claimed that at one point he flew to London to put the finishing touches on a move to the north London outfit.
However, he has spoken out about how he rejected a move to Arsenal as well as snubbing the chance to link up with Serie A champions Juventus, too.
“It’s true, Juventus sought me out after the World Cup.
