4. Liverpool
Who: Daniel Sturridge, Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert
With Luis Suarez departing this summer, many fans could be forgiven for believing that their title race was over before it had even began. However, the have unburdened themselves of the troublesome Uruguayan and have used the enormous £75m fee they received to strengthen other areas of the squad that were in desperate need of boosting.
At first glance, it seemed that they had replaced him with Rickie Lambert, which understandably had many crying into their cereal, but following the capture of Mario Balotelli it looks to be a shrewd piece of business. Lambert is a striker that will guarantee goals from the bench, and whilst Balotelli isn’t exactly prolific, his all round game will be much more beneficial to the team. The jewel of the crown is now Daniel Sturridge. He has proved that he is a deadly top flight striker and will most likely reach the 20 goal mark again, proving that he was, after all, the natural successor to Luis Suarez.
