Who has the best attack of the Premier League’s top five clubs?
This summer all five of the Premier League’s biggest clubs strengthened their front lines. Whether it be through injury or selling replacing a departed player, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man United all sought to make additions. Manchester City, however, were the only side to keep their money in their pocket (for once) but they have been included thanks to the sheer strength of their front line.
5. Arsenal
Who: Olivier Giroud, Danny Welbeck, Yaya Sanogo
With Giroud out for the next three months, Wenger saw it necessary to spring into action and find a replacement in the shape of Danny Welbeck. However, despite the Man United man being an England international, Gunners fans were left to rue the missed opportunities to sign the likes of Radamel Falcao and Jackson Martinez.
Welbeck is a capable forward, but has never been a prolific threat in front of goal. His presence will undoubtedly soften the blow of losing Giroud, who did well to prop the club up on his own last term, but with Sanogo backing him up the club will have to hope that their creative midfielders will have their shooting boots with them.
