Manchester United have flatly rejected an offer from PSG to discuss the potential sale of Belgian wonderkid Adnan Januzaj, reports the Guardian.
PSG also had a £14m offer for Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye rejected, and it appears that with five days left of the transfer window, they will not be able to sign any Premier League stars.
Januzaj signed a new long-term contract in October, but PSG still approached the Old Trafford club in regards to a possible deal.
Januzaj is tremendously talented, and has established himself as a first-team regular for United already. In 11 starts this season, he’s scored three and assisted two, but impressed everyone with his extraordinary quick feet and ability to pick out a pass.
United have completed a deal to sign £37m Juan Mata this January, so the Ligue 1 champions perhaps thought the Premier League holders would be willing to let Januzaj go. In no uncertain terms though, United told their European rivals that he wasn’t for sale at any price, and it’s almost certain that the teenager will be with United for the foreseeable future.
