The Argentine forward has been sidelined with a knee injury since early last month, and his side have had to endure a striker crisis in his absence.
His injury coincided with those of Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic, forcing Manuel Pellegrini to field a false nine in a number of games.
The Chilean manager was pleased to reveal that both Dzeko and Aguero would be returning to action soon, with Jovetic already back and firing.
“I hope in the next week Edin Dzeko will be fit and in the next week [after that] will be ‘Kun’ [Aguero],” he said.
Having scored 19 goals this season already, Aguero has been in blistering form. Arsenal’s form has been somewhat erratic however, and they will not be pleased to hear that the prolific hit-man will be fit to face them.
