Gunners boss confirms more new faces are on the way.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has admitted that he is far from being done in the transfer market this summer by announcing that he expects more new signings will be on their way soon, the Daily Mirror reports.
The Gunners boss has already been busy in the transfer window this summer, bringing in the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Mathieu Debuchy, David Ospina and Calum Chambers to boost the squad ahead of the new campaign.
And fans will be pleased to know that more new players will be on their way after Wenger spoke at a press conference ahead of the Emirates Cup, which kicks off on Saturday against Benfica.
“I’m very happy with the business. I did what I wanted and still open to do more. We have to focus on the weekend,” Wenger said.
“The window closes on August 31 but we’re a bit ahead of what we normally do because the availability on the market was earlier than before.
“Players have to go out before the come in.
“The bigger clubs have done their deals earlier. When one starts the others follow. But not a lot has happened since the World Cup.
“It will get busy again the last two weeks in August.”
And one of those players heading out the door could be Thomas Vermalen, after Wenger admitted he could leave.
