Vikings RB Adrian Peterson was deactivated for Week 2 after an indictment for child abuse of his 4-year old son.

Vikings owner Zygi Wilf announced that the team intends to play former NFL MVP RB Adrian Peterson in Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints. Peterson was deactivated for Week 2 against the Patriots after being indicted in Texas for child abuse of his 4-year old son.
Peterson reportedly hit his son with a switch over a dozen times to the point of the boy bleeding.
Peterson was the NFL MVP in 2012 and is a 6-time Pro Bowler.
