Bournemouth and Scotland midfielder Matt Ritchie has a dangerous left boot. He has scored three goals this season and all have been thunderbolts courtesy of his primary weapon.
Ritchie’s latest goal came inside the opening 49 seconds of Bournemouth’s Premier League game with Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon.
Ritchie has now scored 29 league goals for the Cherries since joining them from Swindon in January 2013.
His goal against Tottenham seemed to spark Mauricio Pochettino’s men into action. Spurs were ahead just over 15 minutes later thanks to goals from Harry Kane – a self-won penalty – and Mousa Dembele.
Erik Lamela then made it 3-1, scoring his fourth Spurs goal of a 2015-16 campaign in which he has been rejuvenated.
