The Clippers were eight points down at the time as DeAndre Jordan was taking his free throws, and in order to try and stop the clock and get Howard to the line, Paul adopted some interesting tactics.
Naturally, it was the ‘right’ thing to do for the point guard as the visitors were desperate at that point, but even though Howard went on to miss both his free throws, the Rockets held on to secure a 113-100 victory which helped them advance to the Western Conference Finals.
It is another disappointing ending to the season for LA who have still yet to reach the conference finals in their franchise history, and CP3 of all their players will be feeling it the most as he will continue to face questions as to how a player of his ability continues to falter in the post-season.
However, his commitment can never be questioned, as although this is as expected doing the rounds with many poking fun at the Clippers star, he did what was necessary at the time even though it didn’t have the desired effect.
