Gunners boss loses temper with media, ahead of Bayern Munich’s visit to the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday.
A furious Arsene Wenger lost his cool with the media as he faced questions ahead of Arsenal’s Champions League clash with Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.
The Frenchman, whose side suffered an embarrassing FA Cup exit at home to Blackburn on Saturday, bizarrely turned on one hack and said: “I look at you not because you give information, I do not know if it is you, I do not know where the information comes from. Why do you look at me? I just thought you had given this information out.”
To which the newspaper journalist replied: “Because it’s your press conference…”
Wenger was also fed up with questions about Saturday’s dismal defeat and snapped: “Here this is a pre-match conference for the Champions League, if you want to talk about Saturday, that press conference has been made after the game.
“Can we get some questions about tomorrow’s game, that would be very nice.”
Daily Mirror chief football writer John Cross said on twitter it was the angriest he’d seen Wenger before a match.
So is the Gunners boss genuinely livid or is this a clever tactic to divert attention away from his team’s poor form and onto himself and the media?
