Spain international looks ahead to a huge month for Camp Nou outfit.
Barcelona full-back Jordi Alba has predicted a tough month ahead for the Catalan giants, starting with their Liga encounter with Getafa on Sunday.
“February will be an intense month with very tough games,” the left back said in the pre-match press conference.
“But we need to maintain the same intensity in all competitions. League, Copa del Rey and Champions League. I think the team is capable of doing that as it has been proving it for many years.
“And this year should be the same. We need to go game after game, competition after competition. And try to win our games.
“Atletico de Madrid is the second in the league. People always talk about Barcelona and Real Madrid. But the second place is for Atletico de Madrid. They are the ones right behind us.
“So I think we should take into consideration other teams than Barcelona and Real Madrid. Obviously there are other teams in the league even if Barcelona and Real Madrid are the bigger ones.
“But today Barcelona is first and Atletico de Madrid is second. We should take into consideration other teams.”
