Robbie Keane will add Los Angeles Galaxy to his long list of clubs after travelling to California.
The 31-year-old striker has had a largely nomadic career having played for Wolves, Coventry City, Inter Milan, Leeds, Liverpool, Celtic and West Ham as well as two spells at Tottenham. That second of those spells now appears to have ended with the player now en route to the west coast of America to undergo a medical.
The Republic of Ireland’s all-time record goalscorer will line up alongside former Manchester United and Real Madrid icon David Beckham as well as USA hitman Landon Donovan if he passes the medical which he is due to undertake on arrival in Los Angeles.
He has been offered a two-year contract worth £8m.
