Bacca, who was largely used as a bit-part player by Jose Pekerman at this summer’s World Cup, enjoyed a wonderful breakthrough season for Sevilla last year after joining from the Belgian Jupiler League, helping them to win the Europa League, and has continued that this time around.
Unai Emery’s side are clinging to the coattails of Real Madrid at the top of the Spanish top flight and will be keen not to lose top stars such as Bacca and midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak in the January transfer window.
