Swansea recorded their second win of their Premier League campaign with a 2-0 win over Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium.
Scott Sinclair scored from the spot after nine minutes after Ryan Shawcross brought down Wayne Routledge in the penalty box. Stoke almost stuck back immediately through Jon Walters but were thwarted by a magnificent save from Michel Vorm.
Glen Whelan then thought he had equalised 20 minutes into the second half only to see his free kick strike the post. Despite a spell of Stoke pressure it was Swansea who scored the decisive second goal of the game – the profligate Danny Graham finally notching his first for the Welsh club – to wrap up the three points for Brendan Rodgers’ side.
