England reached lunch on day two of the third Test against India at Edgbaston on 157 for 0.
Starting the day on 84 for 0 after a short rain delay, Andrew Strauss and Alastair Cook made a slow start as the Indian seamers bowled a better lone but there were few alarms for either batsman. The scoring run rate increased as the session progressed with Cook passing his fifty and the captain just 16 runs shy of his centyr at the break.
England trail by just 67 runs with all their first innings wickets in hand.
