Queens Park Rangers have signalled an interest in Tottenham Hotspur defender Sebastien Bassong, after Harry Redknapp made him available for transfer.
The Cameroon international is thought to be on the market to free up finances so Spurs can buy Gary Cahill from Bolton Wanderers.
QPR were incredibly inactive this summer under their previous ownership, but since being taken over for the second time in two years it appears they are trying to make up for lost time.
Two summers ago, Bassong was an £8m transfer from Newcastle United, but he has not shone at White Hart Lane, and QPR manager Neil Warnock will hope that he can bring back the confident defender of relatively recent times.
