QPR are reportedly in talks with Manchester City’s Craig Bellamy.
SKY Sports are claiming that the Wales striker is the subject of a late bid from the ondone club over a move to Loftus Road though it is not yet known whether the switch would be a loan or a permanent deal. With the player currently earning somewhere in the rehgion of £90,000 a week, QPR would struggle to pay those wages despite having recently handed Joey Barton a four-year deal worth around £80,000 a week.
Bellamy is persona non grata at the Etihad Stadium having had an irrevocable falling out with manager Robero Mancini. The former Liverpool star spent the second half of last season of loan at his boyhood club Cardiff City but would relish the chance to return to the Premier League.
At 32, this would almost certainly be his last chance to make an impresison in the top flight and QPR hope to get a deal agreed by close of play today.
