Spurs line up a bid for 18-year-old American international Green.
Tottenham Hotspur’s new boss Mauricio Pochettino has shown an interest in signing Bayern Munich starlet Julian Green, reports the Metro.
The 18-year old USA international winger has been impressive with Bayern’s reserve team, but is reportedly not close to making an appearances for Pep Guardiola’s senior team.
Pochettino is believed to be watching the speedy and direct winger ever since his time at Southampton, and is willing to launch a £5m bid for the youngster to prise him away from the Allianz Arena.
One cannot be sure whether Bayern will sell one of their bright young prospects, but reports suggest that Green himself is pushing for a move elsewhere in Europe to develop quickly at the senior level.
The teenager switched his allegiance from Germany to USA this March, and has already been capped twice for the nation.
Green netted an impressive 15 goals in 23 games for Bayern’s reserves last term, which has caught the attention of Spurs.
