Despite FC Copenhagen taking a shock lead through Cristian Bolanos, Viktoria Plzen came back tremendously to progress to the UEFA Champions League group stage for the first time in their history.
Goals from Milan Bakos and Michal Duris sealed their progress, and the man who began the comeback was delighted.
“We went through some tough times after they took the lead, as they played well and didn’t give us space to break,” said Bakos.
“Fortunately, they started to open up a bit more and we were able to capitalise on that in the end.”
