CK7 and Smith involved in recent incidents but attend private workout.
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick joined his team-mates for a workout on Monday while pass-rusher Aldon Smith was also present.
The 49ers official website posted a slideshow of several players taking part in training on Monday, with Kaepernick and Smith seen amongst the group.
The workouts are private and there is no media presence as a result which in turn means that the team doesn’t confirm the participants.
However, despite distractions off the field, it appears as though both Kaepernick and Smith are back in the fold and are attempting to focus on preparing themselves for the new season.
Smith was arrested on April 13 at Los Angeles International Airport and was hit with a false bomb report after an altercation during the screening process, and although he hasn’t been formally charged, he also has a April 29 court date for felony gun charges and a drunken drive charge.
Meanwhile, Kaepernick is part of an ongoing investigation involving both 49ers receiver Quinton Patton and Seattle Seahawks receiver Ricardo Lockette.
The investigation is a result of a “suspicious” incident at a Miami hotel earlier this month, although the police have yet to officially name the three individuals in the case.
San Francisco have been dogged by incidents this off-season with coach Jim Harbaugh’s future at the franchise uncertain before speculation of a possible exit was dismissed.
Elsewhere, cornerback Chris Culliver was arrested last month on a hit-and-run and weapons charges, but he was also present on Monday as seen in the slideshow.
The next mandatory event for the team is the June 17-19 mini-camp, and the 49ers will be hoping that there are no more unwanted distractions in the meantime.
