Spurs line-up in a 4-3-3 for Sunday’s win over Everton and it’s likely boss Tim Sherwood will keep faith in a variation for the system for Wednesday’s visit to Newcastle, where Spurs have not won since August 2004.
Here’s our predicted Spurs line-up:
Hugo Lloris
The Frenchman was excellent against Everton and will be relieved not to be facing his compatriot and Les Blues teammate Loic Remy, who is suspended.
Kyle Walker
The England right back must have impressed Roy Hodgson with his quick thinking to set up Emmanuel Adebayor against the Toffees, and Walker is certain to start again at St James’.
Danny Rose
Spurs lack competition at left back and Rose is a certain started when fit. The 23-year-old is enjoying a good season and will be hoping to troubled the Toon’s impressive right back Mathieu Debuchy.
Michael Dawson
The captain divides opinion among Spurs fans but with Vlad Chiriches injured and out for six weeks, Dawson is a certain starter at the moment.
Jan Vertonghen
The Belgian has returned from injury and seamlessly slotted back into the Spurs defence. In the absence of Chiriches, it is vital he stays fit.
