Wigan Warriors five-eighth Blake Green will join NRL club Melbourne Storm at the end of the season.
Wigan Warriors five-eighth Blake Green will join Melbourne Storm at the end of the season after he agreed to a two-year deal with the NRL club.
Melbourne Storm announced the signing on Wednesday after the out-of-contract 27-year-old confirmed he was leaving Wigan and the English Super League to return to Australia.
Green was man of the match in Wigan’s grand final win last October and will be a massive boost to the Storm, who have tried various options at number six this season without much success.
He has previous experience in the NRL after stints with Parramatta, Cronulla and Canterbury between 2007 and 2010, before he left to join Hull KR in the English Super League and then later Wigan.
Green is currently sidelined with a torn bicep until August.
