Manchester United have reignited their interest in Santos playmaker Paulo Henrique Ganso, according to magazine Inside Futbol.
While Tom Cleverley has performed well so far this season, it is believed that Man Utd boss Sir Alex Ferguson does not want to put too much pressure on his relatively inexperienced shoulders.
The signing of a star name established in his national team would certainly alleviate that, and Ganso along with club colleague Neymar is a mainstay of the current Brazil set up under coach Mano Menezes.
Ganso was widely reported to be the subject of a bid from Paris Saint-Germain before they signed Argentina star Javier Pastore, while AC Milan are well known to also follow his career.
Whether Manchester United will enter the transfer market again remains in doubt. Chief executive David Gill denied there would be further additions to Sky Sports earlier this week, but his hearty laugh made some journalists question the validity of his claims.
