Manchester United have agreed to sell star forward Robin van Persie for £4.7m, which will free up space for them to make a big move.
Van Persie is headed to Turkish club Fenerbahce, and United are now preparing to offer Bayern Munich £60m for star forward Thomas Muller, according to the Daily Star.
Man United are looking to land a bona fide scoring threat, as Radamel Falcao turned out to be a flop while playing on a loan deal for the Red Devils while Van Persie is set to leave.
The Red Devils have been able to land significant players such as midfielder Memphis Depay and defender Matteo Darmian though.
Muller proved to be a consistent scoring threat for Bayern Munich, as he finished with 13 goals for three consecutive seasons in Bundesliga matches.
The 25-year-old also helped lead Bayern Munich to four Bundesliga titles while playing a vital role in Germany’s 2014 FIFA World Cup title run.
