Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has revealed Sergio Aguero could indeed make his debut for the club against Inter Milan today.
Mancini – himself a former manager of Internazionale – said prior to the Dublin Super Cup that it was unlikely his new £35m man would play any part, but now seems to have changed his mind.
“Now we go to do a training session,” said Mancini after his team beat an Airtricity XI 2-0.
“Tomorrow morning we decide. I think [Aguero] will play some part, yes.”
He also indicated Mario Balotelli could also face Inter – with the troubled striker also making his reunion with the San Siro team.
“I don’t think there will be a problem with Mario, but with him, you never know,” laughed Mancini.
“It’s important that he plays because it’s the last game before the Community Shield. Inter will be tough.”
