According to the Daily Express, the Premier League champions are desperate to beat their rivals to the classy Spanish international, who played under Manuel Pellegrini at their previous club Malaga.
Isco has previously been regarded as one of the best young players in the world, and has been a key player in Carlo Ancelotti’s side this season.
Still, it is thought that the 22-year-old can leave for the right price as Premier League clubs look set to come calling in the next transfer window.
