The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League after an outstanding season in which he hit the back of the net 31 times in all competitions.
According to Metro, Brendan Rodgers is keen to sign the French international and the Reds are believed to have opened negotiations with the club over the attacker.
It is understood that Lyon are desperate to keep its star man, but the Reds could tempt the French giants with a £35m summer bid.
Much will depend on Liverpool’s interest in Aston Villa hitman Christian Benteke, with Tim Sherwood last week letting slip that the Belgian does indeed have a release clause in his contract.
It is reported that the Reds could trigger Benteke’s release clause with a £32.5m bid, but it remains to be seen whether either Benteke or Lacazette would be willing to join considering Liverpool will not be playing Champions League football next season.
