Liverpool are the latest team to be linked with Brazilian full back Gerson Magrao, after Aston Villa and Sporting Braga were rumoured to be making moves by Portuguese publication Abola.
The quest of Kenny Dalglish to bring a new left sided defender to Anfield has certainly been well documented, but Magrao has not been mentioned nearly as often as the likes of Aly Cissokho and Jose Enrique.
The 26 year-old Gerson Magrao is an exciting force on the left.
Strong in defence, but also potent in an attacking role on the left wing, he is thought to be available for less than £5m, which could make him the bargain signing of the summer transfer window.
Magrao has plenty of UEFA Champions League experience, and would be ready to slot straight into the Reds team.
Could he solve Liverpool’s left back woes?
