Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, and Manchester City are all interested in signing Cagliari midfielder Godfred Donsah, reports the Daily Express.
The 18-year-old has been described as the ‘new Michael Essien’ by some, and has admitted his love for Chelsea in the past, and is even managed by Stamford Bridge hero Gianfranco Zola.
However, the Blues are not thought to be interested in a transfer involving the midfielder, meanwhile a number of their Premier League rivals are keen on bringing in the youngster.
All four sides are suffering from a lack of cover in defensive midfield, while the London club are leading the Premier League with Nemanja Matic in the role.
The player’s agent has confirmed that the four clubs are interested in the Serie A star: “There’s a lot of interest in Donsah as of now, especially from
clubs in the UK. Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal have made official enquiries about him.”
