Sherman never scared to speak his mind, reminds Peterson of his record.
Seattle Seahawks star Richard Sherman has responded to Arizona Cardinals’ Patrick Peterson regarding his comments over his new big-money contract.
Peterson has two more years remaining on his rookie contract, but is eyeing a significant new deal having made an impression since entering the league.
Meanwhile, Sherman was rewarded for being an integral part of leading the Seahawks to a Super Bowl championship last year, and signed a new extension worth $57.4m over four years.
That deal caught the attention of all cornerbacks in the league hoping to get an increase on their salary, and Cardinals star Peterson discussed negotiations over a new contract.
“I’m definitely observant of what (Sherman) got. Obviously by him being the highest paid cornerback, the goal for the guys that come after him is to be higher than him. I believe he set the table pretty high, and me and my agent have some work to do.”
Sherman, who is never one to miss an opportunity to remind everyone that he is the best in the league in his position, took to Twitter to address the comments.
